After reading one of Diane Varner's accounts of her post-processing techniques, I was inspired to experiment. I decided to try to use the techniques to emphasize the warm afternoon light in this shot of people relaxing on Hampstead Heath (London) on a summer's afternoon. I'm quite pleased with the result.
One of the things I like the most in the image is the group at the bottom left. Given more time, I think I should have exercised my legs a little and got a bit closer so that they were larger in the frame. Still, I think it captures well the feeling of a sunny afternoon spent chilling on the Heath.

seems to me like an idyl out of a dream. Or like the illustration of a novel of Astrid Lindgren.

A dreamy feeling is what I was aiming for so glad you like it. I'm not familiar with Astrid Lindgren's work but I shall seek it out.
Thanks for commenting.
