Whereas a few of my recent shots (the Endless Instant series) have celebrated minimal processing, this one embraces all the joys of Photoshop!
The original image is another from my recent sailing trip and shows the lighthouse on St Abb's Head, Scottish Borders. It was shot from the sea and I was hoping to capture some sense of the ominous cloud that was looming over us. I didn't feel the original captured my experience of the scene so I decided to have some fun. And fun I had!
As you'll see from the original (under the film strip), the gulls weren't in the original. They are actually posh gulls from Cannes and I included them to add a sinister element. My girlfriend reckons it has a 'Hitchcock' feel to it which is pretty much what I was aiming for. As ever, I'd love to know what you think.

Loving that 'reveal alternate image' function! Such a great design...enought about that though
Stunning image, works ever so well with the EXTRA processing. Really styriking dramatic scene. Love the bubbling clouds.

do you know the work of Bill Brandt? This is moody, foreboding, chilling- My cup of tea!

That's a very dramatic photo Adrian....skies are so important in landscape photography (especially B&W landscape photography) and this one is great!
