Blue and Mark at play. When watching dogs and owners play, I always wonder if it's the owner playing with the dog or the dog playing with the owner! Either way, bring the beach, the sea, a dog and its owner and a photographer together and there's a lot of fun to be had.
What I like about this shot is that by shooting against the light, the composition has been reduced to graphic shapes that elegantly describe the moment. The directionality of the dog's pose and the person's legs reinforced by the linear textures in the sand add a strong sense of motion. I love how the dog is looking expectantly at his owner, willing him to play.
Well that's what I think anyway! How about you?
